Kenkou began with two women and a conversation that had been happening for years — across dinner tables, in morning kitchens, through decades of watching India's food industry drift further from nourishment and closer to noise. Soniya Karande had spent over 30 years making food the right way: with patience, with integrity, with an instinct for ingredients that no algorithm could replicate. Her daughter Aakanksha had spent a decade in the world of brands — watching wellness companies overpromise, underdeliver, and dress up compromise in clean packaging.
Together, they decided the answer wasn't another snack brand. It was a completely different kind of company — one where the mother's craft and the daughter's conviction could build something India had never quite seen: food formulated for outcomes, made without shortcuts, and sold without secrets. Kenkou is that company. And it started, as the best things do, at home.

Aakanksha grew up watching her mother turn simple ingredients into something extraordinary — and spent a decade in FMCG and D2C wondering why no brand could do the same at scale. She built Kenkou's brand, customer experience, and operations from the ground up, with a single conviction: that wellness marketing in India had to become more honest. The best way to prove it was to make products that could speak entirely for themselves.
Soniya has spent over 30 years making food the right way — before it was a trend, before it had a label, before the industry caught up to what she already knew. At Kenkou, she owns the manufacturing process end to end: from sourcing and quality control to production methodology and facility development. Her philosophy is unchanged from the kitchen it started in: the process is the product, and integrity is not something you can add at the end.
